A cette journée internationale des droits de la femme, africa.com, un médias en ligne, a publié la liste 2022 des femmes PDG à la tête des plus grandes entreprises en Afrique. Les données du site s’appuient sur les statistiques fournies par Bloomberg.
Elles sont soixante-quatorze au total, un nombre en progression par rapport aux 50 enregistrés en 2021, ces dames dirigent des entreprises dont le chiffre d’affaires est supérieur ou égal à 100 millions de dollars, soit 60,2 milliards FCFA, ou dont la capitalisation boursière est d’au moins 150 millions de dollars (90,3 milliards FCFA).
Cette liste est majoritairement dominée par les pays anglophones (Afrique du Sud, Nigéria, Kenya…), l’on compte seulement que 7 francophones.
